Fish n Chips Drive-by was a great success! Thank you to the whole working team, our community really appreciates it!

I read that 4,153,237 people got

married last year. Not to cause

any trouble, but shouldn't that be

an even number?

Relationships are a lot like

algebra. Have you ever

looked at your X and won-

dered Y?

The pharmacist asked me my

birth date again today. I’m

pretty sure he’s going to get

me something. Money can’t buy happi-

ness, but it keeps the kids

in touch!

2. If you were running a race and you passed the per-son in 2nd place, what place would you be in now?

3. What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a head but never weeps, and has a bed but never sleeps?

. . . Thanks to Val and Ron Jackson for the sweet recipes

Best Date Loaf 1.5 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda

¾ cup pitted dates ½ cup butter ¾ cup water ½ cup brown sugar * 1 egg

Boil dates, butter, sugar until soft take off stove, add baking soda, (does puff up so make sure to use good size pan) add to flour and add an egg, mix well. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 325 for 45 minutes. Enjoy!!!

* Note: I used brown sugar twin.

Apple Cake 3 cups diced apples 2 cups sugar 1 cup vegetable oil 1 cup pecans 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups flour 2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda Mix apples, sugar, oil, pecans, 2 eggs and vanilla in a large bowl. Add flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda to other ingredients and stir well. Grease a 13x9 pan and pour in cake batter for 50 min. Toothpick clean when done. If you like you can top with sour cream with a bit of sugar in it. YUMMY and healthy too.
