WELCOME to Fr. Mark Fisher who has transferred his membership to our

council.

THANKS to the young ladies of the Georgetown College lacrosse team who

ate dinner with us at our fish fry on March 20th and then stayed after to help make 400 hogie sandwiches that we provided for the men’s conference at Lexington Catholic the following day. It was a community service project for them and we really appreciated their help and enthusiasm in completing this task.

and Fraternity) being offered at Christ the King in Lexington on Sunday, April 12. This is a good opportunity to move along in your degree status to be fully knighted in our organization. There is no additional cost, just a couple of hours of your time. There are more than 50 of our members who have yet to complete these degrees. Contact Grand Knight Pat Galvin for more details.

TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE: scheduled

COMMUNITY INFORM ATION

"A message from the Kroger Family of Stores: we are committed to

bringing hope and help to local communities. We do this through a variety of

activities, including charitable giving, sponsorships and the unique

Community Rewards Program of Kroger. We are also committed to carefully

protecting our customers' personal information. In order to meet their expec-

tation of privacy, we have adopted a simple policy to never share a custom-

er's personal information. Our privacy policy applies to Community Rewards

participation as well. As your neighborhood food retailer, we deeply value our

ability to support local organizations like yours.

Your supporters (149 households) who shopped at Kroger from December 1,

2014 through February 28, 2015 have contributed to St. John School

$1,940.49. Your organization will be receiving a Kroger check in this amount

within the next 30 days. If you have any questions, visit our website at

www.krogercommunityrewards.com. Thank you for your continued support of

your local Kroger store."

As you may recall, the current "Community Rewards Program" replaces the

former Kroger Gift Card Fundraising Program. If you don't already have a

Kroger Plus card, simply sign up at the Customer Service desk at Kroger.

If you already have your Kroger Plus card, in order to have your purchases

linked into the new program, log in to KrogerCommunityRewards.com; to

create an account and follow the steps to enroll in the new rewards program

using St. John School's NPO number: 10168. Again, your purchases will

not count for St. John School until you link your Kroger Plus card to this new

program. Thank you for your support!

WOMEN AT THE WELL BOOK DISCUSSION: The group will meet

on Wednesday, April 8 (a week later than previously announced due to

Holy Week) at 7:00 pm at the Mulberry Cafe in the library on the

Georgetown College Campus. We will discuss Book 2 (The Wife) of the

trilogy Kristen Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset. Women of all denominations

are welcome for lively faith-based discussion! Questions? Contact Mary

Lou White ([email protected]).

CATHOLIC CHARITIES: Catholic Charities is thrilled to bring back our

signature fundraising event, A Divine Affair on June 5 at The Carrick

House. Ten of our own Diocesan Priests will bring their personal touch to

the bar and appetizer buffet line to compete for the title of “best celebrity

chef.” We are proud to announce that your Pastor, Father Linh Nguyen,

will be a participant. This festive evening will feature our celebrity cuisine,

an open bar, a live and silent auction, blackjack tables, raffles and multiple

door prizes! All of the proceeds from A Divine Affair will benefit the social

service mission our Diocese. A Divine Affair cannot be successful without

a “Divine Support System!” Sponsorship opportunities are still available

including The Archangel Sponsor level. This is a $500 opportunity for you

to sponsor Father Linh and it includes two tickets and reserved seats to the

event, signage, program, and podium recognition and 30 day recognition

on the website and Facebook page. For additional information, please

contact Cindy Mitchell at 253-1993 x 213 or [email protected]. We look

forward to seeing the Holy Spirit crowd at the event to support the work of

Catholic Charities and Father Linh.
