WISYCOM wireless-communication systems for the DVB-T scenario

• Both RX and TX links use the sameUHF band (400 ÷ 550 MHz), grantingthe maximum frequency’s saving andthe best integration with other wireless-systems.

• All units present 16 RX and/or 16 TXswitchable frequencies.

• Narrow-band or medium-band operation assures the maximum flexibility of use and frequency’s saving.

• Suitable for very complex multi-channelsystems, thanks to the extremely highRX-intermodulation-immunity and RF/IFselectivity and TX-signal-clearness.

• Superb audio quality and exceptionallow-noise operations.

• The Base Unit’s transmitter and receivermodules are endowed with audio connections lines, which are balanced and isolated by transformer. This assures the best and easiest connection with any kind of AF-sources,AF-loads and wired intercom systems.

• The automatic limiter on transmitter’sinput prevents any overload.

• The working-frequencies can be easyreprogrammed by PC.

• Fully modular architecture allows the simplest building and even furtherimproves of any kind of wireless-intercomsystem.

• Exceptional sturdiness and absolute reliability.

• Very great working-areas can beeasily covered by the connection of more Base-units together, in“master/slave” architecture, with synchronized frequencies and diversity reception.

WISYCOM systems modular architecture

Wisycom wireless-intercom systemsarchitecture is fully-modular. It is possibleand simple to build working systems indifferent ways, depending on user’srequirements. The systems can be“custom” configured according to theseveral needs of the operators. Here are some main examples:A) All belt-pack transceivers receivethe same audio-signal from the base-station and transmit, one at the time byPTT push-button, to the base. Whilespeaking, the transceiver operates infull-duplex mode (it listens to andspeaks at the same time).Double-click pushing on on the PTT push-button, the transceiver starts to operate in continuous transmitting (and receivingat the same time) till the push-button ispressed again.

The base-station is composed by the following RF units:• transmitters = n. 1• receivers = n. 1Required frequencies (on base-station):• transmitting = n. 1• receiving = n. 1B) All belt-pack transceivers receive thesame audio-signal from the base-stationand can transmit at the same time (infull-duplex mode) to the base.The base-station is composed by the following RF units:• transmitters = n. 1• receivers = n. 1,

for each belt-pack transceiver used.Required channels (on base-station):• transmitting = n. 1• receiving = n. 1,

for each belt-pack transceiver used.

C) Each belt-pack transceiver receives aseparate audio-signal from the base-station and can transmit at the sametime to the base. The base-station is composed by the following RF units:• transmitters = n. 1,

for each belt-pack transceiver used• receivers = n. 1,

for each belt-pack transceiver used.Required channels (on base-station):• transmitting = n. 1,

for each belt-pack transceiver used• receiving = n. 1,

for each belt-pack transceiver used.

WISYCOM Base-Unit in “master/slave” configuration

In some cases the coverage of the “standard” base-station is not enough. Therefore Wisycom has developed, and tested for a long time, a specialtechnology to overcome this problem.Wisycom offers the possibility to connecttogether several Base-Units (in“master/slave” configuration) to increa-se the coverage area almost unlimited. In fact the resulted total coverage area

is the sum of the single area of eachBase-Unit.In order to grant excellent working conditions immune from interferences,Wisycom supplies special add-onboards, to upgrade its transmitter- and receiver-modules to allow the“master/slave” operations. So all tran-smitters can work in “iso-frequency”mode and all receivers work in “remote

diversity” mode. The “master” and “slave” Base-Units canbe installed far away one from the otherand they need to be connected togetherby wire. Wisycom technology allows theutilisation of simple balanced audio linesor cheap telephone twisted-pairs (evenpre-existing) instead of expensive dedicated coax or optical-fibres cables.

Thanks to Wisycom 25 years old expe-rience in the field, the systems aredesigned with the aim of granting notonly the actual maximum operatingquality of the products, but also their

maximum durability in time. This resultis reached with carefully sophisticatedtechnical solutions such as modularityand the inter-changeability of thevarious modules.

The best solution for system-engineersare easily guaranteed by the combina-tion of flexibility and modularity withthe highest quality standards.
