Reflexology – A Brief History and Techniques $60 for Self-Care

Reflexology is an ancient healing art. It is a natural, non-invasive therapy which helps to balance the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of your whole body. Every part of the body is connected to reflex areas on the feet, hands, ears and face. By using pressure techniques and a form of massage, we can stimulate these areas to create a direct response in the related parts of the body. Some of the well-documented responses to Reflexology are: relaxation; lowering of stress and anxiety; pain reduction; improvement of circulation and blood supply.

You will gain an introduction to some of the basic history of Reflexology as we know it today, and how it can be of benefit in our daily lives. We will be working mostly on the hands for self-care and each participant will receive a mini chart for the reflexes on both hands and feet. Please wear comfortable clothing with sleeves which can be rolled up.

Its time to learn how great you can feel. The AHS Find your Stride program supports active, healthy living as well as tobacco cessation. Evidence shows that physical activity can help reduce nicotine cravings.

Suitable for all fitness levels, the 7 - week program targets individuals who either currently use, or, have recently quit tobacco. 90 minute facilitator - led group sessions will be held once a week, including a combination of walking, and/or running and stretching regimes, as well as an education and discussion component on healthy living.
