BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS AT THE JCCKnowing your numbers is an important part of maintaining your heart health. These free Blood Pressure Screenings are provided by Registered Nurses from Barnabas Health Homecare and The Heart Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
NUTRITION MINI CONSULT**By appointment

Eat well and feel well. Schedule a 15-minute appointment with the Outpatient Nutritionist.
Ask the Nutritionist from Barnabas Health Homecare and The Heart Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Email questions to [email protected] and they will be answered by the Registered Dietitian.
INTEGRATIVE HEALING THERAPIES FOR STRESS REDUCTIONHolistic Nurse Coordinators from The Heart Center at Saint Barnabas will provide monthly sessions introducing the integrative healing therapies beneficial to enhancing quality of life. Each class will include hands-on experiential learning.

INFANT CPR FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILYThis entry-level course offers instruction by the CPR Training Center in child and infant CPR as well as foreign body airway obstruction (choking) training.

MEET THE DOULAA labor and support doula is a knowledgeable and experienced guide for childbirth. Join experienced doulas to learn more about the services and support they provide.
First Monday of the month from 6:00–8:00pm.
NEW MOMS’ CIRCLE AND BREASTFEEDING SUPPORTMONDAY MORNINGS
This free weekly support group is led by a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in post partum adjustment. New moms along with their babies are welcome to attend. A Breastfeeding Support Group follows.
MOMMIES MOODSFRIDAY MORNINGS
This professionally led support group for new moms focuses on mother-care rather than child-care. Discussions address issues of anxiety, sadness, irritability, and feeling scared and overwhelmed by the transition to motherhood.

Reducing processed sugar in the diet is an excellent first step in improving one’s health. This yoga and nutrition interactive workshop will explore the hidden sugars in our diet, the harm these sugars can cause in the body and how to reduce or eliminate these sugars from the foods we eat. A healthful, homemade snack will be served at the end of the workshop.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL TREATMENT (CBT) FOR INSOMNIAGary Goldberg, PhD, Licensed Psychologist
The National Institute of Health has determined that CBT is the only effective cure for Insomnia. The FDA has had warnings about taking sleeping pills. The CBT treatment for Insomnia gets people back to sleep without medication in a relatively short period of time.

The Saint Barnabas Lung Cancer Institute is offering a free low-dose CT screening program for individuals who are at high-risk for developing lung cancer to identify abnormalities earlier—when it is most curable. If you are a current or former smoker, learn if you are eligible for this life-saving test.
