LIBRARIANS ON THE MOVE Librarians Chryssa Golding and Martha DiVittorio were invited to speak about Bellmore’s history at September’s open meeting of the Knights of Columbus. Their PowerPoint slides featured images of postcards, photographs, and documents from the collection of the Bellmore Historical Association which is curated by and housed at the Bellmore Memorial Library. What started as a straightforward presentation turned into a lively discussion, with enthusiastic members of the audience sharing their recollections and providing useful background information for the local history librarians. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. If you are interested in hosting a local history presentation, please contact Martha or Chryssa at the library.
