Vacation-Ready Itinerary
Aspen, ColoradoW I N T E R E D I T I O N
3:00pm: Check into your vacation rental home and get settled! Get the lay of the land before heading out to explore the area.
6:00pm: When you’re ready for dinner, head to Home Team BBQ in The Inn at Aspen for some comfort food and South Carolina-style BBQ.
8:00pm: Return to your rental for an early night – tomorrow, the real fun begins!
DAY ONE
DAY TWO8:00am: In the light of the morning, head back over to Home Team BBQ for a satisfying breakfast, and get ready for a day of fun.
8:30am: If lift tickets need to be purchased or picked up, head over to the Buttermilk Ticket Office at Base Village. Then, head over to Four Mountain Sports to pick up rental equipment. Once you have your lift tickets and gear, take a ride up the Elk Camp Gondola and hit the slopes!
12:00pm: Ready for lunch? Dine right on the mountain at Cliffhouse Restaurant.
Insider Tip: Don’t miss the make-your-own Mongolian BBQ wok station!
3:30pm: After everyone’s last runs for the day, head to Bumps Restaurant for apres ski.
Insider Tip: Catch a front row seat on the deck for action on the Superpipe.
6:00pm: For your second dinner on the town, you can’t go wrong with La Creperie du Village, which serves up delicious fondue and raclette.

8:00pm: Big meals are sure to put everyone in a cozy state of mind, so cuddle up in your rental to enjoy your favorite movie together. Make sure you grab some popcorn at the grocery store on your way in!
DAY THREE7:30am: Rise and shine for another day of skiing! Pack up the family and gear and take the RFTA bus to Snowmass for a day on Snowmass Mountain.
8:00am: Grab a quick breakfast and some freshly roasted coffee from Fuel Cafe as you head out.
12:00pm: Don’t stop your momentum! Enjoy some lunch right on the mountain at Sam’s Smokehouse.
Insider Tip: As you fill up on smoked ribs and brisket, save room for their legendary bread pudding!
4:00pm: After a full day of skiing, put on your bathing suits and head out to the heated outdoor pool and hot tub, if your rental has access to one, and soothe those tired muscles.
6:00pm: Clean up and get ready for dinner at Mi Chola, which serves progressive Mexican cuisine in a casual, fun environment.
Insider Tip: Take a peek at their delicious, fresh squeeze margarita menu too.
8:00pm: When everyone’s full from a delicious dinner, leave the kids with the grandparents back at the rental and head to Bootsy Bellows for some live music and tasty drinks.
DAY FOUR8:30am: Sleep in! After two days of skiing, take it easy today. Take the shuttle to Aspen and head to Poppycock’s Cafe for a wide variety of eggs benedict and omelets, delicious crepes, coffee and espresso.
10:00am: Spend the morning in Downtown Aspen shopping for souvenirs and browsing the boutiques in the Pedestrian Mall.
Insider Tip: If you want to splurge, Aspen is home to haute couture retailers like Gucci, Prada and more.
12:30pm: Enjoy lunch al fresco at CP Burger while you watch the kids have fun at the Silver Circle Ice Skating Rink.
3:00pm: After exploring Aspen all day, it’s probably time to head back to the rental to unwind and catch some ZZZ’s before dinner.
6:00pm: Take the RFTA bus or drive to nearby Snowmass and drop by Slopeside Lanes for an evening of dinner and entertainment. They have bowling, pool tables, foosball, air hockey, and a menu that features pizzas, burgers and a wide selection of beer.
Insider Tip: Call and reserve a lane the day before to make life easy.
DAY FIVE7:00am: Itching to get back on the slopes? Pack up the family and gear and take the shuttle to Aspen for a day of skiing on Aspen Mountain.
8:00am: Grab a cup of coffee and some pastries at Starbucks, located right at the Base of Aspen Mountain, before heading up the Silver Queen Gondola for a day of riding.
12:30pm: Enjoy lunch at The Sundeck right there atop Aspen Mountain.
Insider Tip: They’re known for the best made-to-order stir-fry dishes in town, so order up!
3:00pm: After getting in some more runs, make your way to Ajax Tavern for apres ski.
6:00pm: For an exciting culinary experience, visit Kenichi and indulge in their contemporary Asian cuisine and world-class sushi.
8:00pm: After dinner, stay in town and take in a movie at Metropolitan Isis Theater.
Insider Tip: Show times vary, so check the website in advance to plan and purchase your tickets.
DAY SIX7:00am: For your last day of skiing, take the shuttle to Aspen Highlands and spend the day at the locals’ favorite ski mountain.
8:30am: Your last full day in the mountains calls for a big breakfast, so stop by Willow Creek Bistro to get your fill.
Insider Tip: Fuel up with some eggs and the Steel Cut Oatmeal with dried cherries and brown sugar.
12:30pm: After clocking some time on the slopes, take a lunch break on the mountain at Merry-Go-Round Restaurant.
Insider Tip: Warm up with one of their hearty soups.
4:30pm: Before your last vacation dinner, get ready back at the rental, and then grab a cocktail or hot chocolate at Home Team BBQ.
6:30pm: Make dinner special at Pinon’s. Some say this Aspen restaurant is “the place,” featuring Colorado-inspired cuisine, prime steaks and fish, paired with an extensive wine list.
8:30pm: When everyone is full and happy, head back to the rental and slip on your swimsuits for one last evening dip in the outdoor heated pool and hot tub.

DAY SEVEN7:30am: Sadly, the day has come to leave Aspen. But don’t fret! The fun is far from over. Head down to Home Team BBQ for a satisfying breakfast that’ll get you ready for a day of travel back home.
8:45am: Bring the kids to the pool and wear them out before the drive or flight back home.
10:30am: It’s time to clean up, pack up and check out of your rental. Don’t forget to double-check underneath the sofas and beds for personal items!
