    Winston-salem

    Winston-Salem is a city of progress. From its origins as

    an early Moravian settlement nearly 250 years ago, the

    technology in North Carolina and the Southeast.

    Winston-Salem is a primary city of North Carolinas

    FedEx recently opened its Mid-Atlantic sortinghub at the Piedmont Triad International Airport.It is the companys fth U.S. hub. In addition tothe new facility, a third parallel 9,000-foot runwayis being constructed at PTIA to accommodate thehub operation.

    The rst phase of the facility will be approximately1 million square feet and cost an estimated$300 million. It is estimated that the FedExhub will create nearly 20,000 new jobs in a
