Dear wine lover,

It is a pleasure for me to join the Irish trade and the Spanish Commercial Officein this 8th edition of the annual Wines from Spain Fair in Dublin. The 2012edition will also include a Cava extravaganza with an exclusive Cava XmasStars Tasting, and a professional Cava seminar held by Patrick Webb.

This exhibition continues to grow every year thanks to the continuous supportof nineteen Irish importers and their excellent portfolio of Spanish wines. Onthis occasion, the tasting will showcase over 250 wines from over 30 differentDenominations of Origin and Country Wines. Fifteen Spanish wineries will alsohave the opportunity to show their wines in Ireland for the very first time.

Despite the current outlook, the Spanish wine industry is growing at atremendous rate. Record export figures were registered in 2011 in terms ofvolume (over 22 Million hectoliters) and value (2.2 billion €). DO still winesand cava are doing particularly well in North America and main marketsin Europe including the greatest ever rise in volume, 40% in the UK.

The 2012 tasting promises lots of surprises, from value for money to iconicwines. We invite you to enjoy this unique experience and sample the richlyvaried world of Spanish wines.

Bodega de Sada is located in the northeast of Navarra, where the Pyrenees begin. The first reference of wine

making in the region dates back to the 1st century AD, the Roman period. The popular tradition was winemaking

in small house wineries in the Village of Sada. The Sada wine cellar was founded in 1939. Over the years, the

process and facilities have been modernized but always according to tradition. Our Garnacha vines are grown

in “Vaso” (Gobelet) style for 50, 60 and over 100 years. Bodega de Sada way is to make high quality wines not

only to drink, but also to relish the experience.

François Lurton represent the fifth generation of the Lurton wine family, wine producers in Bordeaux since

1897. In the 90’s, with their experience as white winemakers, brother Jacques and François Lurton were quick

to detect the untapped potential of the Rueda region in the northwest of Madrid. In 2002 the brothers found

the ideal location close by for their own Bodega, and purchased 30 hectares of land in the village of Villafranca

del Duero and Toro. “Bodega El Albar” means “tree” in Spanish and is a sort of a pine tree which can be seen

around the Bodega. Today there are a total of 13 ha of white grape varieties surrounding the Bodega; 6 ha of

Sauvignon and 8 ha of Verdejo vines.

The project began in 2004, when Jesús Asenjo met Carlos de Pedro and they both decided to create a winery.

This winery was built in the same village where their family ancestors planted their first strain, in La Horra

(Burgos province), Ribera del Duero. Bodegas Asenjo & Manso SL owns 45 hectares of own vineyards of “Tinta

Fina” or “Tinta Del País” grapes, a local strain of the world renowned “Tempranillo”. This represents a potential

production of 180,000 kg of top quality grapes for harvest (180,000 bottles annually).

Bodegas Loli Casado is a third generation, family run winery. The winery is dedicated to a tradition in house

viticulture and vinification. The winery brands have been commercially successful for over 25 years. The

vineyards range in age from 80 years old to the youngest, planted in 1999 (10%). In 2004, the new cellar was

built and uses modern innovation in the production process. Specific winemaking techniques are used to make

outstanding wines. The winery produce young red wines, Crianzas, Reservas, Gran Reservas and single-variety

Graciano and Tempranillo wine. In recent years, we have also started producing a variety of white wines.

Bodegas Urabain is a small family business located in the well known wine growing area of Navarra. The winery

was the realisation of a long held dream by the wine connoisseur Fernando Ochoa. The wine cellar is named

after his maternal grandparents, whose passion and interest for wine and its cultivation awoke the same

emotion in him. The family owned business is situated in the village of Allo, approximately 12 km south of the

famous town of Estella, which lies astride the pilgrimage route to Compostela, the St. James way. The vineyard

covers an area of 17 hectares. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Chardonnay grapes flourish on

the limestone soil. The painstaking attention to detail and careful cultivation of the vine ensure an excellent

harvest, which creates a wine with its own identity and character. Signature wines are also produced. Fernando

Ochoa, with his creativity and emotion seeks to combine modern and traditional methods. The result: wines

with particular personality.

Bodegas Viña Eizaga is a family owned winery located in one of the most prestigious areas within La Rioja,

Laguardia. It is a medium size winery producing around 250,000 bottles per year (made from 100% Tempranillo

grape, the native wine varietal of this region). A high proportion of these vines are old vines, making the wine

extremely special. This fact, coupled with a limited production, is the best quality guarantee for the wines.

Production at the winery is monitored at all stages, using modern installations, the latest technology and French

and American oak casks. The main brands are Viña Eizaga and Lagar de Eizaga. 60% of production is sold to

our domestic market and export the rest (mainly to China, UK, US, Germany and The Netherlands). The winery

is looking forward to create a long term relationships with possible distributors.

The vineyards and the winery are located on Finca La Rinconada, within of the “Riberas de Castronuño – Vega

del Duero” Nature Reserve. Our vineyards cover an area of 30 hectares and contain Tempranillo, Syrah and

Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. The land is characterized by its sandy and rocky soils that together with

the continental climate, play a fundamental role in producing grapes of exceptional quality. Our philosophy is

based on an approach that involves the highest degree of respect for the grape, this guarantees excellent raw

material. The soils and vines enjoy an intimate relationship explaining the nature of the wines produced by

Barcolobo. It is a wine to be enjoyed and impresses all who try it.

Oliver Conti is a small, family owned vinery located in Capmany (DO Empordà). In 1992 Xavier Oliver Conti

decided to make his dream of becoming a winemaker come true. Buying the land, then together with the help

of his brother Jordi and Professor André Crespy from the University of Montpellier, he started from scratch.

First studying and investigating the varietals that could grow well in the area and climate conditions. Then

planting the vineyard and taking care of it until 1999 when the first wines, a white and a red from 1997, were

introduced to the market. Since then, more study and research as well as hard work has resulted in a portfolio

of wonderful wines. The winery produces wines made of Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Macabeo for

whites and Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Grenache for the reds.

Pago los Balancines was founded in 2006 by a group of wine enthusiasts, determined to make a mark with

wines from the hitherto unknown region of Ribera de Guadiana. If something stands out at Pago los Balancines

is their commitment to offer wines of great value. The vineyards are located in Balancines, a wilderness of the

same name, which belongs to the municipality of Oliva de Mérida (Badajoz). This unique place is nestled

between two mountains at an altitude of 400 meters making the area a special place to grow the varieties

used in the wines. Expertise, great effort and continuous quality control provide the winery with the best grapes,

all of which are hand picked. Dedication continues in the vinification: regular tastings of each varietal and

selection from the best barrels to achieve the perfect blend for the wines.

Only grapes cultivated and harvested at the property are used for making Quinta de Aves wines. The land of

Vega and Calar is what gives the wine its personality, as well as the Mediterranean climate and the location of

the vineyards. The vineyards are located 700 meters above sea level, the wetlands that make up the ground

are a very important part of the winery's culture. The winery is surrounded by vineyards, which shortens the

time between collection of the grape and their deposit on the selection table.

Ribeiros do Avia includes four projects from DO Ribeiro in Galicia: Casal de Armán, Coto de Gomariz, Ailalá and

Finca Viñoa. In the late 70’s, some local wineries had already attempted to bring their Ribeiro wines back to

their most authentic profiles by showing the quality and authenticity of their own grape varieties, such as

Treixadura and Sousón. The main goal is to position the wines in international markets. The promotion is focused

historically, as Ribeiro wines are on par with the best wine in the world. The special soils and weather also

makes Ribeiro one of the best “terroir” in the world.

Señorío de Bocos was founded in 2006 by a group of partners. The winery is located in Bocos de Duero under

the control of the Regulatory Council for the Denomination of Origin (DO) Ribera del Duero. The winery currently

owns all of the vineyards, which are planted with Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Our production:

from 120,000 to 300,000 bottles of 750 ml, depending on the vintage. Our range of products includes Roble,

Crianza, Reserva and Autor (Signature). All the wines are produced at the winery, whose stamp of distinction

is set by their meticulous ageing process, the result of painstaking work from the vineyard right through to the

bottle.

Bodega Valenciso was founded in 1998 by Luis Valentín and Carmen Enciso. The winery exclusively releases

one red wine per vintage: Valenciso Reserva. 100% Tempranillo aged in French oak barrels. Based in the Rioja

Alta area, the vines grow under the sustainable viticulture method. The wines truly condense the spirit and the

Atlantic influence in this 100% clay stone soiled area in Rioja. The initial vintage was 30,000 bottles. Around

100,000 bottles per year are currently produced. Export account for 30% of the current sales. Valenciso is

appreciated by connoisseurs and often receives awards due to its good value.
