Windows Azure TM and Cloud Computing Cloud computing allows users to use software and data stored in the “cloud” for example, access on remote computers via the Internet and available on demand (AOD) rather than having it stored on the desktop computer or notebook computer or even on the mobile devices. Cloud computing gives the flexibility to to increase or decrease computing resources to meet individual’s resource needs at any given time, making it more cost effective rather than purchasing expensive hardware to ensure that users have enough storage and processing power at their occasional peak levels. Using cloud computing services also saves money by shifting at the burden of managing these applications to the service provider.
