How to Block or Unblock Calls and SMS in Windows 8

message or calls on their phones. So people should consider adding those phone

numbers to a blocked list. This presentation will show you how to do these for Nokia

Windows 8 phones. Before starting to employ make sure that the phone has latest windows phone update. The

system apps inside the Settings section must be updated. The app update checking

To access the Settings from the App list Swipe to the left side.


When the Settings screen will appear, tap “call + SMS filter” option. Now you have to accept the terms of Use and Privacy policy

of NOKIA. This will turn on call and message filter. When you will see the call+SMS filter settings page, go to the home screen.

TO block a number from sending you message or call

first Tap on the Phone App and open the call log. Now long-tap on a number you want to block. Now from the context menu choose block number.



A prompt window will come for confirmation. Now tap OK to add the selected number to

the blocked list.


If the number is absent in Call log but present in SMS, then long-tap on that SMS and choose Block number.


Unblock a Number from the blocked list


Go back to settings section and open

call+SMS filter section


Now tap the blocked numbers button.


Now you have to select the desired number you want to

unblock. Tap Unblock to unblock the number.
