STATS
Participation drops off sharply as time passes. So far only 6 patients have completed all three stages. Patients started becoming eligible for their 18 month survey after November, 2013.
A total of 489 patients have been sent baseline surveys
Only 5.9% of patients completed all three stages of the survey

STATS
Patients’ self-perception improved dramatically between baseline scores and six month assessment. They improved even more into the 18 month period. There was some drop-off between 6 and 18 months (perhaps the “honeymoon” phase of the surgery ending?). In the long run, patients scored their overall health at 18 months as 30.8% improved and their overall mental health as 16.2% improved over baseline scores.
