Gunder was on the mound for the visitors. Ogren struck out 11' men and made a two bagger. Gunder struck out 10 men and did not connect for any hit. took place on last Monday evening when the Willmar members of Cbl. Heg Poet No. 126, were royally enter­tained by the excellent host and host­ess, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar A. Larson, at their beautiful modern home, 327 Becker ave W.- This fine home was recently completely finished by the energetic efforts of Mr. M. D. Manning who, on surviving the task in a smil-^** ing manner, was considered anvpljr "Worthy of this acknow'.adsnrcat en his birthday on that date, and the 'banquet appeared a coinn'eto s-: .-prise • to him.

The sumiptious feast, consisting of 'the best on the market, prepared in such perfect manner was delicious, and of a large variety of appetizing eatables, and drinkables^ too numer­ous to mention, confirming the gener­al reputation of the host and hostess as being good entertainers and ex­perts in the preparations of delicious viands. ' During the repast. Comrade A. E. Rice presented our efficient comrade Adjutrfnt M. D. Manning, with a nice watch chain from the six G. A. R. members present, as a fitting memen­to for his excellent services, on his birthday. This accompanied with the .. sincere best wishes of all present, in­cluding the host and hostess, for many happy returns of the day.

Comrade Commander Rice at the same time expressed a very com­mendable reminder, regarding our decreasing numjbers in this post, sin­ce two of our most valued members 'have passed away during the past^ -year. In our advanced age we are « marching a!ong the line of the so call­ed eleventh milestone on life's jour­ney.

The entertainment continued in a . happy manner with more refresh­ments and enlivening music, and re­miniscent talk of 18G1-G5, regarding old times, until the 12 o'clock mid­night hour, when youngsters should retire.—Contributed.
