THE MARK OF HIGH PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATION

ANSI HIGH MASS IMPACT TEST

All Wiley X styles are ANSI & EN.166 certified, because we test and mark all of our frames, and lenses with the appropriate ANSI & EN.166 certifications.

Wiley X frames and lenses must withstand the weight of a 500 gram pointed projectile dropped from a height of 1,3 meters. That pretty much ensures that they’ll stand up to anything you will encounter.

ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT/VO BALLISTIC TESTS

VO BALLISTIC TESTING

Our military origin has given us more than two decades of experience in protective eyewear.Shatterproof Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses separately, and mounted in their triloid nylon frame, meet ANSI Z87 and EN.166 requirements for high velocity impact and high mass impact. This means eyewear with Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses are able to withstand an impact from a .25” diameter steel ball travelling at 165 KM/H, and an impact from a 500g. steel projectile dropped from a height of 1.27m. Before purchasing any eyewear, look for the WX Z87 and EN.166 markings on the frame and temples and WX+ mark on the lenses. These markings ensure that you are getting ANSI Z87 and EN.166 rated eye protection for high velocity impact and high mass impact.

Fine dust and pollen, as well as wind, can cause long-term eye irritation, such as Dry Eye Syndrome. Peripheral light can also diminish optical clarity.

Wiley X patented removable soft foam Facial CavityTM Seals block out even the finest irritants and peripheral light, protecting your eyes and allowing polarized lenses to perform at peak levels.

Changing light conditions can make hazardous situations, but with Wiley X LATM Light Adjusting Lenses which automatically adjust lens tint with changing UV light conditions, you are always prepared without having to swap between regular glasses and sunglasses. The technology is perfect for technicians going in and out of windmills or motorcycle riders using open helmets.

The RX program enables simple ordering and delivery of single vision (Shamir Smart AttitudeTM) and progressive (Shamir Autograph AttitudeTM) corrective lenses.
