Discover winter wildlife in the Cottonwood Canyons, Utah! In the Wasatch Mountains, there is an abundance of wildlife that can be seen in the summer, but what do animals

do during winter when snow lasts for 6 months or more? Learn about the different species of wildlife in the Wa-

satch Mountains and how they adapt to life in the winter months. We’ll discover the best places to see wildlife

and learn how to identify wildlife from tracks, signs, and bird songs. For all ages.

Ms. Janice Huebner is a wildlife biologist and works as an environmental consultant in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ms.

Huebner has experience working with and researching many biota including birds, mammals, fish, and plants in

several eastern and western states. She enjoys skiing, hiking, and bird watching. Ms. Huebner is a board member

of the Great Salt Lake Audubon and leads conservation efforts on behalf of the organization. She has a B.S. in

wildlife management and a M.S. in ecology.
