Attendance Last year the naonal average aendance for pri- mary schools was 96.1% Our aendance target as set by the educaon Welfare Officer is 95.5% You will noce that our target is lower than the naonal average, but there is no reason why we cannot aim to meet it. It is the responsi- bility of parents to ensure their children come to school every day. Children are more resilient than you might think and are able to come to school despite having a minor cold/ bump or scrape. Please rest assured that if we feel your child is not well enough to be in school we will ring you, but it is good to bring them each day to give them a chance to have a go, this builds their resilience and pre- pares them for their future, it is a life skill! As a school we monitor and challenge poor aendance. Each half term we will send home the aendance percentages for each child. We expect children to be at least 95% and will contact those with aendance below 90% at this me. Tesco Farm to Fork Years 3 & 4 are going on a Farm to Fork trail in Tesco learning where our food comes from and how it gets to our plate. Year 3 will be vising on June 17th in the aſternoon and Year 4 on 24th June. This will mean a slight- ly early lunch but we will be back by end of day. Please ensure your child has sensible footwear and coats. They will be required to be wearing their school uniform. Message from the Head of School This week as a school we have reviewed our anti-bullying policy. We do this on a termly basis and this time we made the decision to invite parents to our sum-mary assembly in order to share the school approach. Thank you to those parents who came, especially those who left very positive feedback. For those of you who didn't manage to join us we have uploaded the power-point presentations we used onto the website, please go to the parents tab, then select letters home, they are on the right-hand side. Please find the time to look at these with your child and discuss and issues raised. Our anti-bullying policy is being reviewed next week by our local governing body and as soon as it is ratified it will be available on our website.

We would like to remind you to speak to your class teacher if you ever have any concerns in this area. We take all bullying alle-gations very seriously and are committed to ensuring Wilcombe is a safe place to be for every child.
