WIKILEAKS• Wikileaks was founded on 4th October

2006 by Australian internet activist Julian Assange. Within the first year or its launch Wikileaks claimed over 1.2 million documents. Wikileaks relies heavily upon volunteers ranging mathematicians, network engineers and journalists.

• According to the website the main aim is to ‘’bring important news and information to the public’. All information uploaded is done securely and anonymously to prevent journalists from being jailed for emailing classified documents.
