“Hey, I am into my 4th week of doing placement work and I am truly enjoying the challenge... in fact it is such an eye-opener and I cannot believe the satisfaction being realised through the whole process. The opportunities to experience the learning happening both in the children and in me is taking me to new levels of enjoyment and empowerment. I have enjoyed all aspects of observing in my own environment and implementing activities and experiences for the children and linking them into the outcomes in the framework – it is such an enlightening result. It is almost too easy - but having the right tools and instructions is paramount to the result. The learning stories are happening right in front of my eyes all the time - I guess they have always been there but we have not been tuned in to the right wavelength”.

Diploma of Children’s Services student August, 2011 reflecting in her personal wiki
