Helios: Odysseus and his men are stranded for a month when the men slaughter Helios’ cattle, prompting Zeus to cause the death of all of Odysseus’ men. Ogygia: The nymph Calypso imprisons Odysseus for years, but the god Hermes ultimately convinces her to free Odysseus. Scheria: After washing up here, the Phaeacians help Odysseus and send him home to Ithaca.
