Vision Be the main stakeholder-governed, statewide organization that provides leadership and direction for the cooperative development, use and sustainability of geographic information and technologies in Wisconsin. What is WIGICC? Mission Facilitate the delivery of public services, encourage economic development and help to protect the public and the environment by improving the quality, accessibility, utility and value of geographic information and technologies, throughout the state. Goals To provide statewide leadership, guidance, and strategic and business planning in the management of statewide geographic information To foster communication, cooperation and collaboration in matters related to geographic information among local, regional, state, federal, tribal, non-profit, and private entities in the State of Wisconsin What is WIGICC? Goals To facilitate the equitable creation, access, sharing, and exchange of geographic information To evaluate and promote geographic information standards, best practices, and policies To identify potential funding to support and maintain geographic information What is WIGICC? Goals To advise and consult with decision makers on the appropriate use of geographic information to address critical societal issues.
