View Service Client - Overview
It is a web application Lists and displays layers
offered by View Services Features a search
engine for layers Multi-language search is
enabled for INSPIRE themes.

View Service Client – Presentation tier
The presentation tier runs inside the user’s web browser
Map layers are displayed using OpenLayers Map layers images are obtained through a direct
connection between the browser and the View Service

View Service Client – INSPIRE metadata The presentation tier receives only the metadata relevant to
INSPIRE from the application tier The application tier takes care of any conversion

OGC WMS 1.3 documents are expected but the system also works with versions 1.1.0 and 1.1.1
Metadata documents are parsed by the Application tier to extract information relevant to INSPIRE which is sent to the Presentation tier.

View Service Client – Service Metadata Metadata documents are
cached so that View Services are notrequested repeatedly the same document.
Metadata documents are parsed and persisted in a format that optimizes free text search.
