Dear Parents/Guardians, It is my hope that this letter finds you healthy and well. Although this continues to be an uncertain time, WPCS is committed to helping our students continue their learning journey to success. We would like to take this opportunity to first thank each of you for the following: • Your ongoing commitment • The support you have shown over the past two weeks and the effort you are putting forth regarding your child’s teaching and learning experience. In accordance with the recent guidance issued, we will remain closed for the foreseeable future. As decisions are made regarding a projected date of return that ensures the safety of our school community, we will keep you notified. This week we created a distance learning plan that we will utilize for the rest of year. The learning plan is detailed below: K-4 teachers will post a mini lesson via YouTube (every Monday), reteach the lesson via Zoom (every Wednesday ), and assign I-ready lessons weekly 5-6 will post a mini lesson via YouTube and assign lessons in Google classroom (every Monday) , reteach via Google hangout ( every Wednesday ), and assign I-ready lessons weekly 7-8 will use Google classroom, reteach via Google hangout ( daily Monday-Thursday ), and assign I-ready lessons weekly We will have packets ready pick-up for families weekly every Monday starting April 27th. Although this new mode of learning will take some adjustments, we are confident that our children will demonstrate their resiliency and undoubtedly rise to the occasion of this temporary mode of learning.
