    This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 60118-1:1995 Hearing aids Part 1: Hearing aids with induction pick-up coil input issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Audio, Video

    and Multimedia systems and Equipment Sectional Committee, LITD 07 and approval of the

    Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

    This standard was first published in 1984 and was identical to IEC 60118-1 : 1983. This revision

    is being published to align it with the latest version of IEC 60118-1 : 1995. Amendment 1(1998)

    issued in the year 1998 to the above International standard has been incorporated in this standard.

    The text of IEC Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard

    without deviations. Certain terminology and conventions are, however, not identical to those used

    in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

    a) Wherever the words International Standard appear referring to this standard, they should be read as Indian Standard.

    b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.

    was further replaced by IEC 60318-5. This revision is being published to align it with the latest

    Standards on the recommendation of the Audio, Video and Multimedia systems and

    Equipment Sectional Committee, LITD 07 and approval of the Electronics and Information

    Technology Division Council.

    This standard (Part 2) is one of the parts of a series of standards on Methods of measurement on receiving antennas for satellite broadcast transmission in the 11/12 GHz band. The other part in this series is:
