Celebrate the “Year of the Water Snake” at WIA’s Lunar New Year Festival! Saturday, February 2, 2013; 11A‐2P Join the Wesley PTA for our annual Lunar New Year Celebration! We’ve put together a fun filled event for the whole family. This year, selected students, faculty & parents get to participate in various competitions to win prizes! Light lunch served. See performances by: Atlanta Chinese Dance Company The First Grade Class The WIA “Drum Team” Participate or just Vote in the following Competitions: Dumpling Making Contest Make the “perfect dumpling” and win a special gift! Contestants randomly drawn at festival. Snazziest Snake Contest Come up with the most interesting costume based on the “Year of the Water Snake.” (Festival attendees vote by ballot during lunch.) 1 st Place: $50 Gift Certificate to local Chinese restaurant! MYP Talent Competition Put together the best performance based on anything dealing with Chinese culture. Be creative! Only (5) contestants selected. 1 st Place: $50 gift card Contest applications available in main office or with Chinese Department.
