Why YM+?

YM+ is a European platform of migrant youth organisations aimed at improving the lives and fundamental rights of young migrants

and young people with migrant backgrounds, to represent them and to create more spaces for cooperation for and with them.

Objectives

1. Develop a versatile network of YM+ organisations across Europe and strengthen YM+'s self organisation on all levels to promote the inclusion of the platform in mainstream organisations.

2. Develop a common understanding of the social, economic, political, cultural and environmental situation challenges by YM+ living in Europe.

3. Advocate and promote YM+ rights in Europe, especially in the field of health, education, employment, citizenship and participation.

Objectives4. Change public perspectives

on YM+ by targeting the non-migrant populations, in particular through intercultural dialogue, cooperation with youth organisations, voluntary organisations and the media.

Objectives5. Build the capacity of the

platform and of the organisations involved to develop and strengthen strategies relating to the empowerment, mobilisation, participation and self-organisation of YM+ at all levels, whilst advocating for equal opportunities, democratic and active participation.

Objectives6. Develop common

projects aimed at improving the rights of YM+ in Europe to foster development in the countries of origin.
