Why Webcast ? Go Mei Lin Associate Professor Department of Pharmacy Faculty of Science

description

By Go Mei Lin. Department of Pharmacy, NUS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOKzPrFS-yQ&p=83FA1CD871F4A4E5 Many faculty members do not have a positive impression of webcasting. Many assume that they would appear in some small screen in the IVLE or do not feel comfortable with the idea that webcasting leaves a " verbal trial" of their classroom activities. In this presentation, I will share my experiences with webcasting to big (approximately 290 students) and medium size (ca 120 students) classes, and hopefully provide an objective view of what to expect, as well as what not to expect when using this teaching aid.
