What’s Driving Natural Gas Conversion?
It’s Proven. It works. 15M WW / 120K in US.
Lowered Fuel Costs : $1.00-$1.50+ savings/Gallon vs. Diesel -Quick ROI Payback
Better Price Stability and Fuel Budget Stability Long Term
Abundance with 115+yrs Reserves / Domestic Fuel / Energy Security at 88% of WR’s
Dependable Spark and Compression Ignition Technology. All OEM’s .
Sustainability Focus for the Business Community
American Jobs / Economic Growth Agent
Infrastructure Nationally Is Building Rapidly
The Support Is There Now, And The Market Is Ready.

Natural Gas : The Fuel Itself
Natural Gas is the Cleanest Burning and Safest Fuel for Transportation
Lighter than air, Non-toxic, non-corrosive and will not leak into ground resources
20-23% less Carbon Dioxide/GHG’s ( CO2 / Carbon Footprint ) vs diesel
Highest Flash point at 1000 degrees
Limited Combustion ratio of 5-15% fuel to air mixture
90+% methane, burns almost 100%---by product is mostly water and trace amounts of carbon . Burns hot--- a 99.9% “ stoichiometric “ burn.
EPA and CARB Certified and Endorsed Engines.
Renewable Nat.Gas. (BioMethane ) Resources are utilized today and increasing daily.

NG Fuel Types and The Application: CNG or LNG
Compressed Nat. Gas (CNG):
– Gas Line Connection needed. 900+ stations
– Filled in a gaseous state into Tanks compressed at 3600 PSI
– Dispensed at 5-9 Gallons/min like Autos
– Tank Space, HOS and additional weight is a factor
Application
– Hub and Spoke / Return to Base Daily
– Shorter Range ( < 250 mpd)
– High Idle Applications
– Taxi/Bus/Shuttle/Refuse/Local Delivery
– GVW 50K and Lower
Liquefied Nat. Gas (LNG):
– Similar to diesel / delivered via tankers
– In Liquid form / Cooled to -260 degrees
– 2X the fuel storage on board as CNG
– Filled into Large Cryo Tanks on Tractor
– Filling speed of HD Diesel @ 16-25 gpm
– Protective Gear required for filling
Application
– Long Haul + Hub and Spoke /Return to Base Daily
– Longer Range (>250 mpd –850mpd)
– HD Trucking – Long Haul, Regional Delivery, Drayage, Channel – Consistent Lanes of Operation.
– GWV 50K+and Higher.
– HOS driver Hrs not effected

Fueling Infrastructure
Challenges
– Chicken before the Egg argument
– Range/ Mileage Anxiety
– Old Infrastructure / Non-retail oriented
– Much infrastructure is private and not “ Truck-Friendly “
– No or limited Federal or State Governmental support
– Cannot build infrastructure quickly enough! Limited amount of Station Builders
The Response:
– Governmental Municipalities investing in CNG infrastructure. Part of State Bid Process
– “Dual Fuel” alternative for older OUL applications
– Natural Gas Act H.R. 1835 and S.1408 and Pickens Plan
– Clean Energy’s “ America’s Natural Gas Highway “ –Proactive Building of National Footprint of 150+ LNG Stations
– Shell/ TA 100 Stations over next 3 yrs
– 2 yrs out, likely over 1500 total stations, 1300+ CNG, 200-250+ LNG.
– 5 yrs out, building 3-4 Station/day.
