How to Create a Facebook Business Page

• Log in to your personal Facebook account.• You need a personal account to begin.• You can work in teams for the Facebook assignment, so

team-up with someone in the class with an account.• Practice Facebook business pages need to remain

unpublished, and should be deleted after grading is complete.• There may be a waiting period after the page is

deleted until it is actually deleted by Facebook.• Go to the bottom left of the page, and look for “Create”.

You should delete the Facebook Business page after grading is

complete.

It will remain unpublished if you

follow all of the instructions.

There is usually a waiting period until the page actually gets

deleted.

yourself, and then download it on the Stuart Hall 208 computer so you can then upload it:

• After you Publish the video, confirm that the page remains actual page remains unpublished:

• How? Type in business text, adjust the page color, zoom in, press the ‘Print Screen’ key, paste the image into Paint, crop it, and then save it as a JPEG to the desktop.

• Now, I’d like students to search for two more things that can be done on a business Facebook page to help promote a brand, create a 121 relationship with customers, or any other relevant feature utilized by businesses.• Teams can try searching online for ideas, or just

investigate the options within Facebook.• Create a little slideshow that shows how to complete the

two features.• The slideshow should be about 4 slides (2 slides per

feature). • Use screen clippings and callouts and/or bulleted

lists.


• To complete the Facebook assignment (15 points):• Show me your completed business Facebook page by

the end of class on Tuesday, April 9 (any time left in class on Tuesday, April 9 is devoted to User Guide #2 work time).• I’ll ask to see a few things, like the video link.• I’ll ask to see the completed additional two

features.• Take a screen shot of the browser window with the

Facebook Business page open, print it, and write the team member names on the printout and turn in.

• Email me the slideshow that features the two additional features.


• Immediately after you’ve submitted the assignment:• Feel free to:

• Remove/delete the cover video• Remove/delete the main picture• Remove/delete the button (the link to the video)

• Also, remove posts or turn off notifications.• These steps will make it a generic business page.


• To delete the Facebook Business page:• Go to Settings, Remove Page, Edit
