Arrive in the Dominican capital of Santo Domingo, meet your tour manager, and enjoy your first taste of island life!

Tour through the Colonial Zone, a UNESCO World Culture Site. Visit the first Cathedral, the Alcazar de Colon, the ruins of the Franciscan Monastery, and other highlights of the historic city.

Day 2 - 8: Las GalerasDay 2 - 8: Las Galeras

You will transfer to Las Galeras and spend a week working with the Reef Check Foundation in helping to save the Dominican Republic’s coral reefs and ocean

ecosystems. After 3 days of Healthy Reef Protocol Coursework that involves both classroom study and field work accomplished through snorkeling, you will be

ready to serve. During the next 3 days, you’ll collect data from the reefs that will be studied to ensure the reef’s continued health.

Day 9: Santo DomingoDay 9: Santo Domingo

After breakfast, return to Santo Domingo with free time to further explore the Colonial Zone.

Day 10: Depart for the USADay 10: Depart for the USA

Return home with incredible memories, experiences and stories and almost certainly a desire to travel again!
