Why Should I Get an RIC Hearing Aid?

The process of insertion and

removal is very simple.

To insert the aid, simply hold the

speaker portion of the aid with the

tip between the index finger and

the thumb. Carefully place into the opening of the ear canal.

Slide the hearing aid over the top portion of the ear, make certain

the speaker is pressed into the canal, and turn the aid on. To

remove the aid, pull the speaker system gently out of the ear

canal and remove the hearing aid from the top of the ear. Open

the battery door slightly to turn the aid off.

Ensure that the dome tip or custom ear piece is securely on

before wearing your RIC. If the tip falls into your outer ear canal,

do not remove yourself. Go to your hearing healthcare provider

for help!
