Why I chose Media?

*  I have chosen to study A Level Media because I am surrounded by the media for example: TV, phones, internet and radio. Also I want to know more about the media industry and how they advertise soap dramas on the TV to keep the audiences entertain.

Why have you chosen to study A Level Media?

*  I am interested in how big entertainment companies became successful by filming soap dramas and movies to entertain the audiences and how it became so popular .

*  Also how the media influence us when watching the soap dramas, movies and music videos on the TV and internet.

Is there a particular area/genre of media that you are interested in?

*  I think media is important because the whole society depends on it. People use media for work to get qualification, watching TV to entertain our self and watching the news to raise awareness about the society.

*  So I believe that media is very important to us and without it we might not know anything in our society.

Why do you think media is important?

*  I think the media has so much power because the news has topics of what going on in our society.

*  Also everyone believe the news and it will make everyone believe what are they saying.

How much power do you think it has over our society?

*  Women – the media represented the women as a badly educated because they think that women should be housewife and they are not allowed to educated. Some articles show women has better pays than men but it is hard to see now days.

*  Men – the media represented the men as highly educated because they think that men should work everyday but sometimes on the articles men are not highly educated than before.

*  Teenagers – the media represented the teenagers as a bad and good educated because some teenagers do crimes and some do not. Also teenagers are seen to be success in their future careers.

Chose 3 different groups of people and explain how you think they are represented in the media

The skills I want to develop are the following: *  Editing – to know how to edit photos and films. *  Filming – to know how to film in different angles. *  Creating – to know how to create your own advertisement. *  Director – to understand how director work in media

industry and how hard the work is.
