At the heart of Valencia’s industrialport and symbol of the America’sCup, the Foredeck is a futuristicmultifunctional building that includesbars, restaurants and informationpoints. It is already one of the mostcelebrated sights of the modern partof the city.
Four floors of large terraces reveal daringarchitectural choices that are reflected also inthe air conditioning system.A solution based on a simple but effective fourpipe heat pump system, with units that cansimultaneously provide hot and cold water inthe different circuits. The system can work allyear round with the same parameters, adaptingto the high load variability and the continuallychanging condensing conditions, caused byfluctuating sea water temperatures.
For this project Climaveneta’s ideal choice wasFOCS WH 3203 units. These units arespecifically designed to use sea water andwere the perfect solution to meet our clientsstrict flexibility, efficiency, quietness andaesthetical impact requirements.

The latest striking addition to the Londonsky-line is the iconic Willis building.Designed by Foster and Partners, it isthe City of London’s fourth highestskyscraper and will provide high qualitycontemporary office accommodation forWillis Group, the world's third largestinsurance broker.
This masterpiece of architecture comprisingtwo adjoining structures of 10 and 28 storeyshas already achieved an excellentenvironmental assessment award, with a 10out of 10 BREEAM rating. An achievement duealso to the air-conditioning system. A solutionbased on compact TECS mini centrifugal aircooled chillers, 5 for the tower and 2 for theadjoining Fenchurch Avenue Building, that allowsimplified logistics, unbeatable energy efficiencyat part loads, lowest inrush current andextremely quiet operation. Perfect audio, delicate decorations,gracious structure.The “Gran Teatro La Fenice” is one ofthe most precious jewels of Veniceand one of the best known monumentsof art and music in the world.
A marvellous building from every aspect, evenconcerning the air-conditioning system. A project that has no comparison in itstechnical complexity, logistical constraints,acoustic and aesthetic requirements and wherethe chiller units that provide this comfort had tobe absolutely silent, in terms of sound levels aswell as in vibrations. Moreover they had to becompact and modular in order to be installed inrestricted spaces and to enable theirtransportation through the canals. Designed toachieve very high energy efficiency, this wasenhanced by an integrated heat recoverysystem.
That is why “La Fenice’s” choice wasClimaveneta’s air conditioning system. Alsobecause the theatre itself needed a solution thatcould uphold the description given in the 17thcentury, “the most satisfying for the eyes andears of its spectators”.
