Who/What/Why I amMy Multimodal Autobiography
By Andrew Helsing
Barney
Barney was the only thing I watched as a kid, because he was a purple dinosaur and I was 5. Toddler logic…
“What is Love?” By Haddaway
If you are a 90’s kid, then you know this club hit. All my mom used to listen to was La Bouche and Ace of Base, so I was listening to this song before Night at the Roxbury existed.

Three Kings
This movie was significant because it was the first rated R movie ever, and it was a pretty gory one to start with. Also it’s why I know Ice Cube as an actor than a Rapper from NWA.
FriendsThe first time I ever laughed so hard I almost peed was watching the episode with Friends. I always thought that Chandler was the funniest one, so most of my personality is based on his mannerisms.
Banjo-Kazooie
If you do not get this reference, this picture is a cute symbol of the greatest game of all time “Banjo-Kazooie”. This game was my first exposure to comic violence…and I enjoyed it. Muahahaha!!
Hot Wheels
The first time I was exposed to Hot Wheels, was when I got my Police Humvee for my 5th birthday. I didn’t let go of it until I was 10.
Light up Shoes
Growing up in California, you weren’t cool unless you had light up shoes. I had them. My friends had them. Everyone had some form of light up shoes. However, I was disappointed to find out that stomping your feet doesn’t cause lightning to shoot out of the sole of your shoes…
Idols
These two guy have been my heroes ever since I was 4 years old. I was first introduced to Chris Farley when I was 6 years old and watched the Chippendales Skit with him and Patrick Swayze. RIP. Will Ferrell I knew was funny from what I heard, and then I saw the Budabi Brothers (Night at the Roxbury skit). I haven’t laughed harder since.
MTV MTV, before it
stopped actually playing music, was my favorite channel because I loved listening to my favorite bands and artists but I especially loved watching the music videos.
Disneyland
As I grew up in California, my family had lifetime passes so we would go once a month. It was the greatest time of my entire life. Disney was a huge part of my childhood and shaped me into becoming a dreamer.
