Rates for Collection
Wholesale Rate Program for Australasia This is a rate plan for CHA which will address the needs of the Inbound Tour Operators a n d W h o l e s a l e r s f r o m a ro u n d t h e wo r l d where a CHA contracted client is signed up. This will give them access to a fixed rate for all room types on a nett basis. This rate will also be used for brochures in the international market as it will be set for the full 12 month wholesale rate period of 01 April – 31 March the following year. Static Rates (LSFIT1, LSFIT2, LSFIT3) The Static Wholesale FIT Rate plan will allow wholesalers access to property specific rates and more inventory, by having access to all room types. It is to the discretion of the hotel to which rooms you would like to submit (please note four room types is preferable), at a minimum the rates for the standard room MUST be submitted.
Rates will be valid 1 April to 31 March each 12 month cycle LSFIT is a static leisure rate plan for all CHA hotels
Rates will be yieldable in the fixed rate bucket in Rates Center and
Rates & Inventory properties rates will be loaded under the min rate
box in optimal rate room types can be offered via this rate plan.
The three categories: LSFIT1, LSFIT2 & LSFIT3 represent three levels of discount off the BAR rate:
LSFIT1 (20% off BAR) – International Wholesalers (including: Detour & Travco) LSFIT2 (25% off BAR) – Inbound tour operators (including: Pan Pacific - NZ & AUS,
ANZCRO, Southern World, Goway and Infinity Holidays)
LSFIT3 (30% off BAR) – The AOT Group only (Including Sunlover Holidays & ATS Pacific)
*Only approved wholesalers will have access to the LSFIT rate* **Please refer to the Wholesale FIT diagram on page 18**
Dynamic Rates (LDFIT1, LDFIT2, LDFIT3)
Please be aware that LDFIT (Dynamic Rates) are not required to be submitted at this time, they will automatically calculate as a discount off your BAR. Choice Hotels Australasia are currently working on establishing direct connections with key inbound tour operators and domestic wholesalers which will give them real time access to your LDFIT rates. The Dynamic Wholesale FIT rate plan will allow for system connections between CHA and wholesalers, this rate will be courtesy loaded at three discount levels based on the BAR rate of the day for each room type. These levels will reflect and allow for a 20%, 25% and 30% commission margin.

Reservations
Reservations by wholesaler/inbound operators will be made via the CHA contact Centre inbound desk.
All changes or cancellations to a reservation must be made by the tour operator and in turn must be put through the Choice reservation system.
Rates are static with the appropriate rate loaded by the Data & Channel Management desk. Properties will not have the ability to fluctuate rates from this point.
Subject to availability through Choice CRS. Rates are confidential and must not be divulged to the guest. No surcharges apply.
The guest is only responsible for incidentals upon departure. All reservations are guaranteed and must be held till 4pm, 24 hours prior to the day
of arrival (hotel local time). Should the guest be a no show without any cancellation the wholesaler will be liable for the first night room charge.
Each property must accommodate, free of charge, a maximum of two (2) children 12 years of age and under when accompanying their parent(s) and / or guardian(s), and when occupying the same room and using the same facilities & existing bedding.
If a second room is utilised, the charge should be equivalent to the one-person rate for each room occupied.
An extra charge may be made for rollaway and for any additional meals.
Occupancy & Child Policy
The LSFIT payment rate applies up to 2 Adults and 2 Children 12 years and under, in existing bedding. Sofabeds are considered existing bedding.
If additional bedding has to be provided (i.e. rollaway) extra person charges are applicable (regardless of age), an additional charge for a rollaway will not apply.
Payment
All payments will be made to the hotels through the monthly FAS. Crediting to the monthly FAS will only occur once the original voucher has been
received by CHA from the hotel.
Vouchers are to be produced by wholesaler/inbound tour operators and exchanged by the customer at the hotel. Hotels are required to send in the vouchers/itineraries for payment.
One voucher per each nights stay is required to be collected from the guest by the hotel.

Group Rate Submission - Trade Group Rates
Trade Group Rates are for group bookings by contracted wholesalers & Inbound Tour Operators booking a minimum 10 paying rooms (coach and tour operators and travel industry partners). Trade Group Rates are manually solicited by CHA for domestic contracts and will remain set for a 12 month period. Seasonal rates are permitted. The Trade Group Rates are not loaded in the CHA reservation system and are a manual booking. Trade Group Rates are non - commissionable and only available for authorised wholesalers and
Inbound Tour Operators valid IATA numbers. Trade Group Rates Terms & Conditions, including FOC policy are attached. These rates do not attract a reservations fee from CHA.
All booking requests are managed by CHA’s Groups Desk [email protected] Rates
Trade Group Rates must reflect a minimum 20% off BAR but in order to be competitive we would recommend minimum 25%-30% off BAR.
Properties are not charged reservation fees or commissions on Trade Group bookings processed by the CHA groups desk.
Rates are set for the wholesale year, 1 April to 31 March. Rates are nett non commissionable. Group rates are not loaded in the CRS but held by the CHA Groups .
Rates are quoted in local currency (e.g. Australia - AUD$, New Zealand - NZD$).
CHA Trade Group Rates Terms & Conditions, including the FOC policy apply.

Reservations
The CHA Trade Groups Rates are only available by request via the CHA Contact Centre – Groups Desk.
Group Trade Rates are only available to authorised wholesalers and inbound tour operators with valid IATA numbers and which have been credit approved.
These rates do not attract a reservations fee from CHA. Trade Group Rates only available to contracted wholesale agents and inbound tour
operators. It is important to note that wholesale agents and inbound tour operators will quote group bookings based on these rates prior to contacting CHA.
A group is defined as ten paying rooms. Choice Hotels' policy is to offer one room free of charge (FOC) after every ten rooms
with a maximum of two FOC rooms per group.

The GTR payment rate applies up to 2 Adults and 2 Children 12 years and under in existing bedding. Sofabeds are considered existing bedding.
If additional bedding has to be provided (i.e. rollaway) extra person charges are applicable (regardless of age), an additional charge for a rollaway will not apply.
Payment
Choice Hotels Australasia requires a deposit of 10% of the total cost within 30 days of confirmation to guarantee the group booking. If the booking is confirmed within 30 days of the arrival date, the deposit is due within 7 days of confirmation. Final payment is due no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
Within 30 Days – Penalty of 50% of total cost of room nights will apply Within 14 Days – Penalty of 75% of total cost of room nights will apply Within 7 Days - Penalty of 100% of total cost of room nights will apply

Group Rate Submission - Non Trade Group Rates
Non Trade Group Rates are for group bookings by special interest groups requiring a minimum of 10 rooms with one FOC room for every 10 paying room, max 2 FOC rooms per group. (i.e.: seniors, religious, educational, scouting groups, etc.). The Non Trade Group Rates are not loaded in the CHA reservation system. These rates will automatically calculated by CHA.
Rates
Group Non Trade Rates must reflect a minimum 10% off BAR
but in order to be competitive we would recommend minimum
15% off BAR. Remember these are nett rates with no other
commission or fees.
The CHA Non Trade Group Rates are only available by request via the CHA Contact Centre – Groups Desk.
Rates are NOT loaded in the CRS.
Rates are contracted via the Franchisee Portal.
Rates are valid 1 April to 31 March each year.
Rates are set for the wholesale year.
Rates are 10% commissionable for Travel Agents with valid IATA numbers.

The Group organiser is required to notify the Choice Hotels Australasia Groups Desk in writing of any reductions in group numbers or cancellations. Verbal amendments & cancellations are not accepted. The following penalties apply should the reservation be cancelled or the numbers reduced.
Cancellations or reductions within:
30 - 14 Days of arrival - If 10% or less than total room nights are cancelled – no penalty.
If more than 10% of total room nights are cancelled - deposit is non-refundable.
14 Days - day of arrival - Penalty of 100% of total cost will apply.
Loyalty Points
The Non Trade Group Rates rate plan is not eligible for Choice Privileges® Point/Airline
miles.

Group Rate Submission - Sports Group Rates
Choice Sports will deliver a new market segment to many hotels in the form of sporting groups
and sporting associations. With many hotels having their highest occupancy from Monday –
Thursday, this program will help to increase weekend business (and thus overall revenues) for
each hotel.
Sporting groups will start from 10 rooms or 15 paying guests. Given the discount required the
normal group deal of one FOC room for every 10 rooms booked does not apply to these rates.
Rates
Sports Group Rates must reflect a minimum 15% off BAR. Plus a 10% commission to be
paid by properties in the same way as travel agent commission and apportioned as a
maximum of 7% to the club in the form of a commission, with the balance to go to
Choice to promote and administer the program and incentivise sporting clubs and
associations to join up.
The CHA Sports Group Rates are only available by request via Groups bDesk
Rates are NOT loaded in the CRS.
Rates are valid 1 April to 31 March each year.

The CHA Sports Group Rates are only available by request via Choice Sports Desk. Group Sport Rates are only available to authorised sporting clubs.

Cancellation Policy The group organiser is required to notify the Choice Sports team in writing of any reductions in group numbers or cancellations. Verbal changes or cancellations are not accepted. The following consequences apply where a booking is cancelled or group numbers are reduced. Cancellations or reductions within:
30 - 14 days prior to arrival date - If 10% or less of the total rooms nights are cancelled, then no penalty will apply. If more than 10% of the total room nights are cancelled, then the deposit for the cancelled room nights is non-refundable.
14 days prior to the arrival date - arrival date - 100% of the total cost of the booking is payable.

Rate Matrix
To assist in projecting your BAR rates for 2016/2017, provided is a rate matrix. This easy to use tool assists in projecting you’re BAR rates for all room types. This will ensure that your property is correctly represented and positioned in the market and ensure rate parity.
1. You can change the room type names to those sold at your hotel.
2. Enter the current BAR rates for each of your room types.
3. Enter the Forecast Annual Rate Growth Number, in most cases the industry average in the past has been 4% annually.
4. The tool will automatically calculate your projected BAR rate for the following year.
5. Also automatically calculated are your rates for each wholesale level, these will be
your payment to property rates.
20% - International wholesalers (including: Travelmood & Travco) 25% - Inbound Operators (including: Pan Pacific - NZ & AUS, ANZCRO, Southern World
and Infinity Holidays) 30% - The AOT Group only
This tool can be used to calculate your rates for HotelPass and FIT rates.

Once you click ‘Continue’ you will be taken to a screen that shows your current season

The first section will ask you to provide your rate seasons, you can submit up to 3 date ranges for
low season and 3 date ranges for high season. The date range must start from 1 April and must
end on 31 March.
***If you wish to provide more than two seasons, email [email protected]***
Once you have entered your seasons, you will now need to enter your BAR.
The drop down menu for room types will include ALL the room types that are loaded in our
reservations system, however you are not required to submit rates for ALL your room types.
**Please note you must enter ‘0’ if an extra person rate does not apply***

When you have entered rates for low and high season, extra person rate and ‘Submitter’s
Name’, select ‘Calculate and Preview Rates’.
The LSFIT1, 2 & 3 rates will automatically calculate based on the BAR submitted. If you wish to
amend your FIT rates, select ‘Return to Form’, amend your BAR and select ‘Calculate and
Preview Rates’.
Once you are satisfied with the above select ‘Continue’, you will be then asked to provide
breakfast and dinner rates. These will added to FIT rates, depending on client demand.
**Please note that if you do not offer breakfast or dinner at you property ‘0’ must be entered**

Once breakfast rates have been entered select ‘Proceed to Submission’ and your FIT submission
is complete.
