Year 4 Trip to Petrosains Discovery Centre Last Friday, as part of their Bright Sparks IPC, our Year 4 students visited Petrosains Discovery Centre in the Twin Towers, KLCC. The children thoroughly enjoyed the science linked “challenges” and it was great to see them working well as teams to solve puzzles; overcome forces and be well balanced!! A nice lunch of chicken rice was served in the Molecule Café – thank you to the staff for looking after us. In the teaching centre in the afternoon the children applied their knowledge of simple circuits to construct a day/night lamp complete with flashing LED. Many thanks to the Mums that accompanied us on the visit, your support was much appreciated.

Cyber Wellness Talks sponsored by Parents Association Appreciation and thanks go to our parents who sponsored these talks to benefit our children. The sponsors are Ms Tay Chooi Moon, Mr Lew Kwong Ann and Ms. Cindy Tan Ghim Hui. This is the second year for such talks to benefit our children under the programme called CLUTCH which means Changing Lives Using Truth, Character & Hope. The dates scheduled for the different year groups are as follows:-

This is a great bonding time for Tenby Community! All participants must be appropriately dressed for doing gardening in the afternoon. Please remember to bring your water bottle and cap along.

That’s right folks, the PA committees of both TIS and SST have created and uploaded our very own Tenby Schools SEP Parents’ Associations website, and, for now, a Facebook group for TIS parents. Our goal for this new website is to provide easy access to relevant and useful information regarding parental involvement in our campus, as we grow and build a strong and supportive community of parents. We also hope to establish this website as a good source of useful information for visitors. Complementing the website, the TIS (SEP) PA Facebook group serves primarily to support the many activities and events within the TIS community, and help with quick dissemination of important information. It is a closed group and as such will require a request to join plus some supporting information. In joining, you agree with the underlying purposes upon which this FB group has been created. The development of this website and Facebook group is the result of many dedicated hours by a small group of your fellow parents, who have voluntarily ‘eaten, slept and discussed' them over the last handful of weeks.
