My primary target audience for my media product is 16-25 year oldsI chose this audience as I believe they would be much more interested in my media product than older or younger people as people of this age are more likely to be able to relate to the issues of drug abuse and crime

Secondary Research

I undertook some secondary research into the statistics of drug abuse and found out that:“Young adults (those aged 16 to 24) were more likely to have used drugs in the last year than older adults. However, the proportion of adults aged 16 to 24 taking any drug in the last year was 16.3%, down from 19.3% in 2011/12.”“The proportion of adults aged 16 to 24 taking any drug in the last year was almost double the proportion in the 16 to 59 age group, at 16.3%.”

Sight and Sound• Sight and sound magazine is

an international film magazine• They advertise the movies• Have interviews• If a film is advertised in this

magazine it is more likely to be targeted towards mature people with a wide range of film knowledge. As it is niche and not mainstream younger teens would be less likely to be reading it.
