Who is the Holy Spirit?

• God (Acts 5:3-4)

• eternal (Hebrews 9:14)

• present everywhere (Psalm 139:7-9)

• all-knowing (1 Corinthians 2:10-11)

• creator (Genesis 1:1-2, Job 33:4)

• a person – not a force (John 16:13-14)

What does the Holy Spirit do?

1) He convicts people of their need for God.

2) He indwells Christians.

3) He guides Christians.

4) He seals Christians.

The Holy Spirit convicts peopleof their need for God.

When the Holy Spirit comes,

He will convict the world of guilt

in regard to

sin and

righteousness and

judgment.John 16:8

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?

1 Corinthians 6:19

The Holy Spirit indwells Christians.

Jesus: “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth.”

John 16:13

The Holy Spirit guides Christians.

Having believed, you were marked in Christ with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is the deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession – to the praise of His glory.

Ephesians 1:13-14

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:30

The Holy Spirit seals Christians.

Thank You, Holy Spirit, for being God eternal, all-knowing, present everywhere, Creator.

Please don’t stop convicting me of my need for God. I am sinful; You alone are righteous. I need God to forgive me and give me life. I need God today and I need Him for eternity.

Please keep convincing me of my need for God.

Thank You, Holy Spirit, for living in me. I do not want to take for granted the wonder that You, God, are actually, in me.

Because You are in me, where I go, You go. Help me to take You to honorable places – away from sin and toward righteousness.

I want ears to hear Your guiding voice.

As you prompt me and bring people into my life I want to see Your guiding hand to help me walk straight and strong through the good days and the difficult days.

And thank You, Holy Spirit, for “sealing” me and guaranteeing heaven for me. I do not want to take this for granted.

I am truly thankful that Your grace saved me and Your grace keeps me saved.

I give my life to You.
