• Leader of Sons of Liberty (in Boston)• A group that oppose British rule.

• In many cities throughout the colonies.

• Wrote several editorials

• Defeated the French to gain control

of North America. (French/Indian War)

• In order to end the rebellion.

• Thus restoring control back to the King.
