Auch in der Schweiz erlebt Golfsport einen enormen Aufschwung. Vor allem immer mehr Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene begeistern sich für den Sport, es findet eine grosse Vorwärtsbewegung statt. Für uns als Verlag, der schon seit sechs Jahren Sportmagazine im Freestyle-Bereich herausgibt, steht fest, dass der richtige Zeitpunkt gekommen ist, um ein Golfmagazin speziell für die Jugend bzw. für junge und junggebliebene Golfer im Alter zwischen 20 und 45 Jahren zu lancieren und ihnen eine Plattform bieten. Golf wird zum Nationalsport – genau diese Bewegung möchten wir portraitieren!

Ihr haltet sIe In euren hnden: dIe zweIte ausgabe des whIteout golfIng MagazIns! es war und Ist eIne sehr spannende saIson fr uns!
Los gings an der Golfvirus Messe mit dem Release des ersten Magazins, und seither ging einiges. Wie ihr in dieser Ausgabe lesen knnt, waren wir in Teneriffa im wunderbaren Hotel Jardin Tropical. brigens knnt ihr bei unserer Bunkers Up Tour Ferien in genau diesem Hotel gewinnen! Ein grsserer Bericht ber die ganze Tour wird es in der dritten Ausgabe geben, da das letzte Turnier erst am 30. August im wunderschnen Golfpark Oberkirch stattfinden wird. Mehr dazu auch in dieser Ausgabe.
Weiter waren wir wieder am Beach Mountain Junior Open und haben uns ein wenig bei unserem Schweizer Nachwuchs umgehrt. Unser Rastafari-Wunder Derek Wedge erzhlt wie ihm seine Saison gelaufen ist und Markus Keller und Tanja Frieden erklren, warum der Golfsport so viele interessante Seiten mit sich bringt. Viele weitere Informationen ber den Golfsport in der Schweiz findet ihr auf den nchsten Seiten.

Il faut dire que nous avons eu (et avons encore) une saison trs excitante. Nous sommes partis sur les chapeaux de roue en direction du salon golfique Golfvirus en ce qui concerne le premier magazine et depuis il sest pass pas mal de choses. Comme vous pouvez le lire dans cette dition, nous tions Tnrife dans un htel formidable, le Jardin Tropical. Dailleurs vous pouvez gagner un sjour dans cet htel en participant notre Bunkers Up Tour! Vous trouverez un reportage complet sur tout le tour dans le troisime numro puisque le tournoi, qui se droulera dans le magnifique golf dOberkirch, se termine le 30 aot. Plus dinformations dans cette dition.
Ensuite, nous nous sommes retrouvs lOpen du Beach Mountain Junior et avons recueilli les propos des juniors suisses. Notre prodige rasta, Derek Wedge, nous raconte comment sa saison sest droule et Markus Keller ainsi que Tanja Frieden nous expliquent pourquoi le golf a autant daspects intressants. da wIr fr dIeses travel Issue redaktIonellen Inhalt bentIgten, konnten wIr uns ende aprIl MIt guteM gewIssen auf den weg Machen und deM eInen oder anderen golfplatz In europa eInen besuch abstatten. erste statIon: sterreIch, zweIte statIon: tenerIffa und dort entstand auch dIeser covershot.
Mit im Gepck waren der Fotograf Jason Flash Horton sowie Whiteout-Kolumnist Drew Stevenson. Diese Aufnahme machte Jason whrend unserer zweiten Runde auf dem Golfplatz Costa Adeje bei Loch Nummer 3, wobei Drew den Ball ber den Fotografen chippt. Zwar hatten wir alle zusammen an diesem Tag einen miserablen Score, aber bei diesem wunderschnen Platz behlt man trotzdem die gute Laune. Teneriffa ist als Golf-Destination auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert! Am besten bucht ihr gleich bei Tui Reisen das Hotel Jardin Tropical!

Cette photo a t prise par Jason sur le troisime trou de notre seconde partie sur le parcours de Costa Adeje , au moment o Drew chippe la balle au dessus du photographe. Il est certain que notre score avait t des plus misrables cette journe-l, mais comment ne pas perde sa bonne humeur sur un parcours aussi beau! Tnrife vaut le dtour en tant que destination golfique! You can feel it coming. Subtle as it may be. But the iron grip of summer is starting to give way to a little chill in the evening. Days shortening, ever so slightly, as the season drifts gently towards autumn. Yes, change is in the air, invisible yet perceivable all at the same time. But never fear. Change is change, neither good nor bad, and in terms of golf the Indian Summer months of September and October are the best for golfing all round. Unlike the spring, when courses are often recovering from their winter hardships, and your swing needs the cobwebs brushed off it, Autumn provides the culmination of perfect conditions and the peak of your game after a gruelling summer season. A time of rich colours before the pale shades of winter grey and plunging temperatures force a cessation of plastic-bashing hostilities, or a flight to southern climes. Change is constant.
On a global scale you can see it too: change is upon us. The economic freight train of China has undermined and will soon overtake the formally proud US economy. The Euro lurches from crisis to crisis. Gold and oil reach record highs daily just like my handicap. The Arab Spring looks all but certain to turn into a Summer, Autumn and winter the way its going, they might just make it an annual event. Global warming, man made or otherwise, seems certain to drag our species out of the Age of Oil into the Age of Technology will humanity finally wake up to the insanity of shitting in its own nest? But, enough with current affairs already. Being a sports freak, there are far more important things afoot.
