• Modified implicit association tests (IATs) to reflect topics of interest (e.g., disgust with life) and distributed to participants

• Independently explained and defended research methods to the IRB of Miami University that subsequently were approved for research

• Carried out six-month longitudinal data gathering and conducted analyses

Research on Eating Disorders and Suicidality (REDS) Lab Undergraduate Research Assistant 2013-May 2015 Projects: Over-exercise and its relationship to acquired capability for suicide, belongingness, and burdensomeness.

• Acquired psychophysiological data (e.g., pain tolerance, pain threshold) with an algometer.

• Led participants through research procedures and collected data. Perceptions of Media Images: Facial EMG Study

• Hooked up participants to a facial electromyography system to monitor facial muscle movement during exposure to certain media stimuli.
