White Water Tube Rafting - Description This a competitive rafting race. Each member of the team will have his / her own rubber tube complete with a paddle, life jacket and helmet. He / she will have to control his / her tube raft to go through river rapids within a time frame of 1 to 2 hours. All participants will undergo a water confidence exercise where they will experience the feeling of falling out of their tubes. Teams starting time will be spaced out for safety reason and the winner is the team with the fastest time. To win all team member must complete the course otherwise marks will be deducted – teamwork is necessary so as no team members are left behind. The activity is safe and fun provided members follow our instructor’s instructions. Rescuers or helpers will be stationed at location where participants usually will get into some form difficulty normally at rapids. If the participants are large in numbers, we will make it into a relay race where half the participants covers the first course at the second half of the participants will take over until the end. The facilitators reserved the right to cancel the activity if he/she determines that the water level exceeded standard safety level especially after a heavy downpour or shorten the route to only do the safer course of the river. Aims and Objective : Rafting is a good chance indeed for individuals to practice skills in sometimes stressful situations. It will also activate the initiatives of the group in deciding which way to go while tackling rapids. Development interpersonal communication, excelling in a motivated environment, developing camaraderie , overcoming obstacles., building self confidence and fear of the unknown.
