What is White Ribbon Alliance?
White Ribbon Alliance (WRA) works with local communities around the world to identify and implement solutions to their unique reproductive, maternal and newborn health challenges. We want all newborns, girls and women to realize their right to quality health and well-being and we know that it takes every one of us to make lasting change.You can help us save more mothers’ and babies’ lives by spearheading fundraising opportunities in your community and growing our base of supporters. Your efforts will help fund vital services in WRA National Alliance countries and support WRA’s global campaigns – including in the United States – to provide quality healthcare to women, girls and babies around the world.

Through its network of National Alliances and other partners, White Ribbon Alliance galvanizes people to hold governments accountable for their promises, in part by pushing for adequate budgets for reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health targets they’ve agreed to meet.

Why support WRA?
• Despite incredible progress, 800 women still die every day from preventable complications from pregnancy or childbirth. Those complications are the leading cause of death among 15-19-year old women globally. And, if that’s not heartbreaking enough, 225 million women want to delay or avoid pregnancy but do not have access to safe and effective family planning methods.
• WRA believes the most effective way to make lasting change is by directly involving women, girls, families and communities to identify and push for solutions.
• For 20 years, WRA has proven that giving people a voice and the opportunity to work directly with their governments is the only way to create sustainable change so that all women and girls get the quality healthcare they need to survive and thrive.

• Run Like a Mother! Participate in a relay race, marathon or 5K and raise money for every mile you run.
• Host a donation-only fitness class like Zumba, yoga, or spin.
• Turn anything you want into a fundraiser! The sky is the limit on how you can raise money for WRA.
THROW
• Play a gig, put on a play, or host a game night and donate the proceeds to WRA.
• Dedicate your wedding or baby shower to WRA. Instead of asking for gifts, ask for donations to be made in your name to WRA (you can even start your own fundraising page dedicated to your event).
• Create a fundraising page for your birthday, a holiday or other celebration on Facebookor our fundraising platform and ask family and friends to donate for this special occasion.
• Invite your friends over for a dinner and show a WRA film or have a fun activity to celebrate motherhood, then ask for donations.
