PROPERTY MANAGER’S REPORT

Summertime and the livin' is easy. Famous words

from a famous song and so appropriate for we souls

at the park. Have you taken a stroll to the end of the

pier to check out the new table Doug and Joe have

constructed around the post in the center of the

gazebo? It’s really quite a spot. Or just a lazy day at

the pool or a walk through the nearby woods in the

other White Horse Park. Yeah, sweet summertime, I

know I'm lovin' it, hope you are too.

Nevertheless things break and all does not go

perfectly all the time does it? We have had to have a

new transmission installed in the work truck, which

is now back on the job thanks to Pittsville Ford. We

also have had a couple of small injuries throw a kink

or two in the works, but all in all we are doing what

it takes to keep the park up and running at full

speed. Every week we repair or upgrade some part

of the park, from broken water lines and bathroom

fixtures to fixing flats on the rent a bikes, we are at

it.

We are looking at a number of projects for the

near future including a fence at the back of the boat

yard, more cleaning in the ditch there as well and

new heat and air conditioner at the maintenance

building. A new pool fence has been mentioned as

well as adding security monitors in the office

building. Speaking of which, we still plan to raise

the front corner of the office this off season.

Remember to get an ECC form for any home

improvements and please park in designated areas.

Also I thank you in advance for putting your trash

IN the dumpsters.

A final note, we looked into having a large

washer and dryer installed at bathhouse # 2 , and

decided that it was not cost effective. Sorry but

you'll have to take those comforters to a

laundromat.. rick

IN THE MAIN OFFICE MAKE SURE TO PICK ONE UP !

If you are selling your property yourselves it is a good idea to put a notice up on the board at the

Main Office. We have a lot of people asking about properties and cannot let them just drive through

without a Realtor or visiting an owner. A notice on the Community Bulletin Board will get

them in touch with you faster.

GATE CARDS – IMPORTANT

Please do not use your card to let someone in behind you or let them piggyback off your car

coming through the gate. The gates are designed to let one car in at a time. This could result in the

gate arm coming down and causing damage to the second vehicle. The gate cards are

programmed to let one car in at a time and there is a 5 minute reset before it can be used again.

This is done for the safety of the residents. ALL GUESTS / VISITORS MUST SIGN IN

AT THE OFFICE OR WITH THE GUARD ON DUTY NO EXCEPTIONS !

Rental Units:

All owners who rent your unit must have your renter stop at the office or guard house to check in when they arrive. (Even if you gave the renter your gate pass). We need to get vehicle information and phone numbers in case of emergencies. Make sure that you have the NEWEST copy of the WHP Rules and Regulations in your unit. If you need another copy, please stop at the office. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Please remember to SCOOP THE POOP !!

DO NOT put it in the bathhouse trash cans. Put it in your trashcan or the dumpsters.

Please remember to pick up after yourselves in the laundry rooms and bathhouses. They

are cleaned and disinfected daily ! Please put your trash INSIDE the trash cans

and leave the bathhouse in good condition for the next person. Be neighborly!

Please do not leave children unattended in any of these areas.

SOMEONE

Hello everyone ! Hope you are enjoying the summer season here at the Park. It is hard to believe we are at the middle of the season already. Why does the summer seem so short and the winter seem so long? The Park has been very busy these last couple of weekends. The decision to have the pool open late on Friday and Saturday evenings was a good one many members have been using it at those times. We are moving forward with plans to line up projects for the fall. Roofs for the two bathhouses, raising the corner of the office building and continuing work at the boatyard. We had to replace the transmission on the white work truck. We checked on getting a larger washer and dryer for the laundry but the cost was $3500.00 for just the washer to be paid back to the company at a rate of $200.00 per month and that did not include the dryer. We tabled that idea for the time being. We have submitted an application for a grant to purchase the AEDs for the park and are waiting for a reply so that they can be purchased. We feel this is an important addition to the park to be prepared for an emergency. We are looking forward to a couple events at the clubhouse for this season; The Fish Fry will be held on August 8th and of course the Crab Feast on September 5th. Ice Cream Socials will be held on August 8th and August 15th. These events are a great time to get together and meet new members and enjoy the clubhouse and pavilion. The next board meeting will be on August 15th at 10:00 a.m. BE SAFE ! Enjoy the season for vacation, swimming, fishing and boating! MARINA UPDATE

Ladders are installed on the main and back pier of the Marina. It looks like we will NOT get our final

inspection until the off season. We have our permits for dredging and expect the final approval after all the

dredging is completed.

Thanks to Ted and Sue Gajewski for rescuing a group of kids from a burning boat with the help of Danny and Pat Heath. The good deed got mentioned in the local newspaper. Well done !!
