We hope you are enjoying our new topic learning all about the world. Here are your home learning tasks for Tuesday. Maths Writing In Maths we are learning about a new concept tenths as decimals. A decimal number contains a decimal point, which is shown as a dot. For example, the number 45 and the fraction would be written as a decimal number like this: There is an 10 minute video we would like you to watch. Please go to the Maths website: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/ Click on the pink tab that says ‘Summer Term – Week 6 (w/c 1 st June)’ Then choose ‘Lesson 1 – Tenths as decimals’ and watch the video. If you have a printer, please print the Maths Tuesday worksheet which is on our WFH – Year 3 webpage. If you don’t have a printer, write the answers in your home learning book. Then mark your answers using the Maths Tuesday answers worksheet. Remember to ask an adult if you need help. TTRockstars Keep up your excellent work with your times tables. Imagine that on returning to his house, the boy discovers another magical creature sleeping in his bedside drawer. 1. What type of creature could it be? 2. Could it be a combination of two or more different creatures? 3. What different colours and patterns would it have? 4. How does it move? 5. What noise does it make? We would like you to draw and label your own magical creature. The labels should answer the five questions above. Use thoughtful adjectives when you write your labels. If you have a printer, please print the Tuesday English task worksheet. If you don’t have a printer, then draw and label your creature in your home learning book. There is a word-search that you can print too which has thoughtful adjectives and verbs that will be useful when writing your labels.

Make sure you spell the names correctly and use capital letters because they’re proper nouns.
