No point in applying again for re assessment as we don’t meet criteria. “Ministry will be offering short sessions in 2010 on leadership and the integration of ICT” ( from letter) What will these be? Who will run them, who will be eligible.. Principals, whole school. Will there be a cost? Learning is our focus

This is where we are at:

Principals must lead and be seen as leaders of this change or it will not be successful.

Goal setting is imperative (refer to LeRoy Model.)

Things that make a cluster successful:

Principals leading the way… example and support

Focusing on setting goals … for school… staff and students… teachers be held accountable through appraisal

Networking opportunities for staff through regular contact to share ideas

Attendance at Conferences especially Learning@school, Rotorua,

Working in schools with facilitator to meet individual needs of school, teachers and pupils to raise e-learning achievement.

Working with groups of students on focus days. (Documentary movie making day, Photography ,Animation, etc)

So what can you doBe proactive and have an e-learning focus for 2010

Set realistic goals, what do you want to achieve and why.

Attend Learning@school Rotorua 23-26th Febuary (cost=registration, accommodation, reliever, milage meals,) Attendees must report back+ get together

Hold teacher only day (Cost speaker? Join other cluster events. Hold own?)

Looking at process of inquiry, context to concepts, processes to support inquiry process, questioning. Reflection. Thinking skills, graphic organisers.Skills for good e learning practice.Each term hold a sharing session -no cost. Obligation of staff to attend. (Speakers??)

Hold Kids Conference on GT days. Cost??

CRT time spent visiting other local schools compulsory

Workshops after school….. Focus on needs
