Langley Christian School will be hosting a large group of Korean Middle School and High School students this summer. The students will be arriving on Wednesday, August 3 and Thursday August 4 and leaving on August 13 and 14. While they are here the students will be attending classes at LCS from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each week-day . These students need a "home away from home", while they are here in Canada. If you have a room/s to host two students or know of someone who might be interested in hosting please email Marlene Bylenga (mbylenga@langleychristian.com) or Carole Wheaton (cwheaton@langleychristian.com) or at 604 533 0839 ext 250. Host families will be generously compensated ($30/day/student).

The community outreach group is looking for volunteers for a Commu-nity Blessing project taking place on Saturday, July 16th. We are look-ing to send several teams of 2 or 3 out in our neighbourhood to mow lawns for the late morning and early afternoon. Volunteers would be needed for lawn mowing and for refreshments for the teams back at the church. If you are interested please talk to David Shipley.

Requests: > Prayer for the Ensing family as Cindy’s sister, Marlene recently passed away from Cancer this past Tuesday. The Ensing family would like to thank BCCC her and their family in their thoughts and prayers. Continual prayer is needed for the Ensing family as they grieve this loss. Pray for God’s emotional healing and comfort. > Prayer for Candace Lexvold’s father that he would recover quickly from a recent fall. > Prayer for Larry Geddert as he recovers from recent surgery.

BCCC MISSIONARIES

Requests: > Pray for Abe & Diane Bible. Pray that the Lord will sustain them to be able to focus on the people and their needs during the sessions in Russia. Pray for Matt (6 yrs. old) who is the son of the Bible’s translator, Kostya. Pray for wisdom and God’s healing hand as Matt is extremely weak due to illness.

> Pray for Gordon and Lee Anne Volkman. Praise God for their opportunity to reach many in Zimbabwe through soccer. Chris, a member of the AIA staff Gordon is ministering for leadership training, met with government officials of the district and offered to start a soccer league. The officials eventually agreed.

WORLDWIDE

Requests: > HAITI: Urgent prayer is needed for Haiti as the cholera epidemic has made a strong come back in the past month. Pray for God’s physical and emotional healing for this broken country.

Muslim World: Ramadan is in two months. Pray for those who are ministering to these people. Visit www.30-days.net for more info.
