• were assessed on their understanding and application of adjectives
• revisited the concept of short vowel sounds
• inquired into long a vowel sounds like ai, ay and a-e through various learning
engagements
• continued their inquiry into the movement of the Earth through experiments
• explored further into the theory of rotation and revolution through visual art, audio-
visuals, interactive games and classroom discussions
• recapitulated the concepts of shapes, greater than less than, before and after with flash
cards and interactive games
• were introduced to numbers names of 30, 40 and 50

Students involved with colouring the cut outs of Sun and Earth in groups to prepare a
working model on rotation and revolution while one group busy doing the experiment
Students jotted down the activities they do during the day and night and sorted them out
to put it together with the Sun or the Moon respectively
Zoom in and Zoom out activity- Understanding planet Earth in the sense of its size and
capacity , starting right from our home – where we are in place and time
I wonder !!! How we all live on earth and do not fall off despite of the sphere shape and
the movement of Earth? This question lead to an inquiry into “Gravity “ - the force that
attracts a body towards the center of the earth . The students did a balloon experiment to
understand the process.

different adjectives and mounting them on flowers, thus creating colourful vase of adjectives
Students watching a video on short vowel sound followed by coming up with their own
words with short vowel sound
Students being introduced to long vowel sound through a hands on activity, using their
thinking skills and writing words on their own thus distinguishing between short and long
vowel sound

Morning Assembly
Students of KG showcased the importance of friendship and its essential elements
through a role play.
Students of 1 U presented a skit on conflict resolution

Our Budding Readers
Visual Arts
Students inquired about organic patterns in Henri Matisse’s
collage work through visual presentations.
They further drew these organic patterns and started cutting
out shapes using scissors in their art classes.
Physical Education
Physical Fitness and Exercises
Students did physical fitness activities for developing gross motor
movements like jogging, shorts sprints and zig - zag running, etc.
Locomotor Patterns
They were involved in different locomotor activities like balance
the body balancing, stretching, shaking and swinging their trunk
from side to side.
Gymnastics
They performed floor exercises like front roll and back roll with
appropriate lead-up activities.
They also practiced walking on balancing beam.
Swimming
Students explored the following activities during swimming classes:
Activities for leg and arm action
Lead - up games for enhancing floating techniques.
Yoga
Students practiced different breathing exercises like Kapalbhati,
Ailom-Vilom, Surya Namaskar along with various lying postures.

Recapitulated names of fruits and colours through poem reading followed by written
practice
Practiced Sentence writing
Reading Unseen passage ‘बारिश का दिन’ and oral comprehension based upon it.

Homework: Choose and write names of any 5 fruits with their pictures on A4 sheet

Country of the week
Each week two students will be chosen for show and tell on a particular country. They must
prepare information (around five lines) to share with their classmates OR prepare something
creative to present about the allotted country.
