their annual training workshop/holiday luncheon in the

Conference Room of the smaller, multi-use building

• Estimated 71 were in the conference room at 10:50 a.m.

The Suspect Shoot Out

• 1225: IED discovered after injured are removed – Bomb Squad called

• 1500: Investigation sends police to suspects residence; pursuit initiated when suspects observed fleeing residence – Suspects (reported to be headed in the general direction of the original crime scene)

• 1515: Brief vehicle chase by law enforcement on major freeway, surface streets and into neighborhoods

• 1525: Police pursuit culminates in gun battle with suspects; both suspects fatally wounded - two officers also wounded

• 1757: Official request from Incident to OA EOC for a County Fire Type III Incident Management Team after the PM Planning Meeting.
