TM Recommended Preventative Maintenance for ORBIT Valves Lubrication – The frequency of lubrication varies according to the application and usage. • A minimum of once a year • Every time the valve is serviced for stem leak • Quarterly lubrication if valve is operated infrequently (once a day or less) • Every 1000 cycles if valve is operated more than 10 times a day • Every 500 cycles if the valve is used in corrosive or other severe services and operated more than 10 times a day Stem packing adjustment – ORBIT valves are fitted with an adjustable packing screw that allows for stem packing to be adjusted online. Verification of operating speeds and pressures – Prolong the life of your valves by operating them within the design recommendations. Valve life expectancy will be significantly reduced if they’re operated outside of the recommended speeds and pressures.
