HistoryWheelchair Rugby was first played in 1977 and at the time it was known as Murder ball. It was introduced as a professional sport in the 2000 Sydney Paralympics.

Rules and equipmentCourtThe Wheelchair Rugby competition is played indoors in a normal sized basketball court.BallThe ball is the official size of and weight of a volleyball.
